Challenge #4 - OxyMorons Sep 13, 2019
An oxymoron is a figure of speech in which two opposite ideas are joined to create an effect. The common oxymoron phrase is a combination of an adjective proceeded by a noun with contrasting meanings, such as “cruel kindness,” or “living death”. However, the contrasting words/phrases are not always glued together.
For this challenge, I will pay MacBucks for every unique oxymoron up to a maximum of 5 per student. For every oxymoron you send me, you will earn 20 MacBucks - but only if no one else has turned in the phrase before you. No peeking on the internet either - you have to come up with the words yourself! If I don't understand your claim, you must be prepared to defend it with evidence and reasoning. Check your spelling and act quickly!
